"From the start the teachers told all the students about the show and they were excited. Every student had had a unique talent to showcase; dancing, singing, art, graphics design, and so much more. Our teachers kept on encouraging us to audition and filling us with motivation and perks of winning the show."
"I told my teacher that I no talent because I can't sing or dance. Atleast thats what I thought talent was but it's more than just dancing or singing. My teacher told me that talent does not have to be singing or dancing. It could be art, design or public speech. Then there it was, my talent, public speech. I decided to go for it. After practicing multiple times, getting comfortable on stage and serious prayer, I was ready. Our principal always reminded us that it was more than just showcasing our skills but also ministering. Ministering to the different people. Showing them that God is the backbone of everything and He had instilled all of our different and beautiful talents."
After some pratice sessions, most students were fed up. It was getting tiresome and irritating to perfect our talents. Just as we were about to give up, our teachers stepped inand motivated us. Time after time, the teachers and principal supported us all.
Finally, the long awaited day came. Everyone filled with energy and excitement. Parents
and guests filled the chairs as the judges sat right infront of the stage.
We, the students were shaken up. We had to present. 'Wahat if I forget? or what if I
fumble?' was all that some could think of. Our teachers come speak life into us,
reminding us that there was nothing to fear. After calming down and asking God for
guidance, we started presenting. Everyone ministered
through their talents. It was surely the best talent show.
I was seeing so many people be blessed by the performances. Leaving impacted and
blessed.
Looking back, I am so proud that we had the talent show and participated. It taught us that with support, practice, and God, we can push past our tears. Some students are prepaing for next year's talent show. See you there
